Bassey is tasked with leading Fundraising and Technology Initiatives and supervising various IT transformation projects involving implementing multiple software and managing vendor relationships, enabling senior leadership access to crucial business intelligence KPIs. He leads the development of vision and execution frameworks for new programs and projects.

Bassey is responsible for identifying communication opportunities, networking with formal and informal groups, and key stakeholders and industry influencers for potential business opportunities. Facilitate the PR team to successfully position the company through targeted marketing messages and organizational branding to specific audiences.

Before joining BASIA,  Bassey ran a successful technical consulting company focused on implementing Agile transformations and bringing stakeholders' visions to market across multiple industries. He is a certified SAFe Product Owner and Product Manager (POPM 5.1), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM5.0), and Professional Scrum Master (PSMI).

His passion for nonprofits and social enterprises spanned three decades from college when he championed and facilitated a scholarship program that benefits over 1000 students. He strongly believes in the power of education as a liberating force to lift people out of poverty.

Bassey earned a Master's Degree in Information Technology and Telecommunication Management from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University's Carey School of Business in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor's in Agricultural Economics and Management from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Business Administration with a special focus on Project Management and Strategic Marketing with the North Central University, Arizona. 

Bassey has been married to Barbara Obot since 1997.
